On the 31st of MAY (Last week Wednesday), Myself, Mikaili and Morgan enjoyed some quality time courtesy of Wimpy.
It was so refreshing to be invited to something that celebrates down tie and with my schedule right now, it could not have come at a better time.
I remember blogging last year that this is what a mom’s table at Wimpy looks like:
And believe it or not – this was me having a meeting but also having to take the kids along (Because Mompreneurs are us!)
Please read the press release below and also try and make time and memories with the people in your life. We are so caught up in the madness at times, and forget to really take some time out to focus on the ones that matter.
Press Release:
To celebrate the launch of their new #MakeTime campaign Wimpy hosted celebrities and media to a classic Wimpy Breakfast at their Mall of Africa store on Wednesday the 31st of May.
Wimpy recently launched the #MakeTime campaign with their first brand ad in 10 years. The campaign seeks to encourage those who seemingly never have enough time to make time for the ones that they love. To highlight this, they invited some of the busiest people in the media world, which included the likes of singer Leanne Dlamini, actress Jay Anstey, soapie queen Sophie Nbaba and blogger Olwethu Leshabane and their families. The personalities enjoyed the opportunity to make time for their loved ones.
“As a working woman and a mother of two it can be so challenging finding the time to spend with the ones I love. In the always on, always connected and career driven world that we live in we can sometimes lose sight of making time for the those who mean the most. I love what Wimpy is doing with this campaign and am encouraging others to take time out of their busy schedules and make time for those close to them” said singer Leanne Dlamini.
“This campaign has been such a such a joy to bring to life for us as a brand. We are first and foremost a family brand and for many years families have made the time to enjoy a meal at our stores nationwide. However, we recognize that as people get busier and the pace of life gets faster, even something as simple as making time to have a meal together can be difficult. We want to encourage families to take stock and realize that even though time may never seem enough, we need to make time for the ones that we love” said Wimpy Marketing Manager Luise Peters.
