If there’s one thing that covid-19 has reminded us, is how crucial it is have our health in check at all times. It’s important for us as women to be empowered with knowledge regarding lowering health risks and recognising warning signs while it’s still early.

Today on #TheSitDownWellness, we are joined by Dr Lerato Masemola, as she takes us through vital health screenings that we need to be mindful of as women, in order to detect possible health risks that could affect us in the future.


Dr Lerato Masemola, also known as Dr Lerato to her patients, is a general family doctor with a passion to educate and debunk health myths for the betterment of society.

As a health and fitness fanatic she has pushed herself to lead a healthy lifestyle by participating in activities such as the Comrades Marathon and summiting Mount Kilimanjaro.

She plays and widens her world view through travel as well as through her work which includes educating the public on pertinent issues such as parenting and lifestyle. Dr Masemola has shared her expertise through TV and radio shows, by being a regular guest and contributor for the past 9 years and counting. She has also written columns for magazines.

Dr Masemola is intentional about using social media to educate, entertain and inspire. She is an all-round lovelee person.
